Brittany Clemons received a 2020 The Future of Film Is Female grant for her upcoming short film, TOOTH & NAIL.

BRITTANY CLEMONS is a Brooklyn-based writer, director and producer. Her most recent short film BLIGHT, which explores police brutality and environmental racism through a sci-fi lens, has screened in multiple film festivals, including the American Black Film Festival, Hip Hop Film Festival, The Roxbury International Film Festival, Charlotte Film Festival, Brooklyn Sci-fi Film Festival, and more. Brittany currently works as a development producer at Jigsaw Productions. Prior to development, she contributed to documentary television as a story producer and associate producer. Her work includes Henry Louis Gates, Jr.'s Emmy and Peabody Award-winning PBS series The African Americans: Many Rivers to Cross, and celebrity genealogy series Finding Your Roots, NBC’s documentary special Hope & Fury: MLK, the Movement and the Media, for which she received an Emmy nomination for outstanding research, and AMC’s six-part documentary series Hip Hop: The Songs That Shook America.
