About the project: During the last Quaker Meeting of the year, NYC high school seniors share their unfiltered feelings with each other.
About the filmmaker: Giovanna Molina is a filmmaker from Brooklyn, NY, currently based in LA. Her work explores stories of isolation, belief, and surrealism within a female coming-of-age context. She is a Sundance Ignite 2022 Fellow and has screened work at Indie Memphis Film Festival, Santa Fe International Film Festival, and Dances With Films, among others. She is a graduate of UCLA’s Directing M.F.A. program and received her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University in Film & Creative Writing. She is developing her debut feature, Kismet, which chronicles how an 8th grader channels her depression into her belief in aliens.
