NO FORKS IN THE ROAD

Directed by Jessica Le / 2019 / 9 min

At a routine greyhound rest stop, May encounters Annie, a teenage vagabond that offers to read her palm. Through their newly-found friendship and a hungry stomach, May’s struggle with her duality as an Asian American is reignited, leaving her at a crossroads with her cultural identity.

Jessica Le graduated with a BA in Cinema from San Francisco State University in Spring of 2019 and has worked on a number of professional productions as assistant camera, editor, and production assistant. For her directorial work, her interests lie within exploring the Asian American experience as well as connection, intimacy, and its effects on the people involved — no matter how constant or fleeting.
